Delta Air Lines announced on 13 August 2026 that it will launch a nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) beginning in March 2027. Tickets went on sale on 15 August. This will be the first nonstop transatlantic route from Austin.
The route fills a gap that has long frustrated Austin-based travellers: until now, reaching Europe without a connection has meant routing through Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston Intercontinental, or Atlanta — typically adding two to four hours to a journey already approaching ten hours in the air.
What this means for travellers
Austin is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States and has drawn a rising number of international visitors over the past several years. The Paris route makes Europe significantly more accessible for travellers based in central Texas, and in the opposite direction, it opens Austin to direct bookings from France and other European travellers who previously faced a two-stop journey.
Flight time on the Austin–Paris sector is approximately 10 hours westbound and 11 to 12 hours eastbound, in line with other mid-Atlantic transatlantic services. Delta’s SkyMiles programme applies in the standard way, and codeshare partners may add seats on the route ahead of launch.
Booking and timing
Fares went on sale through Delta’s website on 15 August. Launch pricing appeared competitive with connecting itineraries through major hubs. As with most new Delta transatlantic routes, fares are expected to rise as the March 2027 start date approaches and early booking inventory sells through.
