The United States recorded its 99th consecutive day of widespread aviation disruption on 8 July 2026, with 424 total flight cancellations and 2,785 delays reported across the national network. PSA Airlines — which operates regional routes on behalf of American Airlines under the American Eagle brand — led the disruptions with up to 424 system-wide cancellations.

  • Washington Reagan National (DCA): Major disruptions, large share of PSA’s regional network
  • Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL): Significant delay backlog with cascading effects

Beyond PSA, Southwest, American, JetBlue, United, and Delta also recorded disruptions — though at lower individual rates than the regional carrier.
