Tips for Smooth Seattle Airport Transfers
Use Link Light Rail — it is the single best transit connection at any major US airport on the West Coast. The train avoids I-5 entirely and deposits you in the heart of downtown. Unless your final destination is well off the light rail line, there is rarely a reason to pay for a taxi or rideshare if you are travelling solo or as a couple.
Get an ORCA Card on arrival. The reloadable transit card works on Link Light Rail, Metro buses, and the Seattle Streetcar — one card covers all of your in-city transit for the trip. Cards are available at the Sea-Tac station for approximately $3 (card fee) plus any loaded value.
