Best Hotels in Bend
Bend’s hotel market has expanded with the city’s growth but remains constrained relative to demand on peak ski and summer weekends. The choice comes down to downtown boutique hotels (walkable to restaurants), the Sunriver Resort campus (families and golf), or chain properties on the suburban ring.
Downtown Boutique
Oxford Hotel Bend (10 NW Minnesota Ave) is the most design-considered hotel in downtown Bend — a 59-room property built with sustainability principles (the building has a recycled-wood exterior, reclaimed materials, and a natural gas-free heating system). The ground-floor restaurant is one of the better hotel dining options in the city. From approximately $200-$340 per night as of 2026.
Lara House Lodge (640 NW Congress St) is a 7-room B&B in a 1910 craftsman house three blocks from downtown. Full breakfast included; the common areas have a library and garden. One of the most atmospheric accommodation options in Bend. From approximately $150-$220 per night.
Pine Ridge Inn (1200 SW Century Dr, approximately 2 miles west of downtown) — an independent inn on the road toward Mount Bachelor; 20 suites with kitchens, hot tub, and a quiet setting. From approximately $160-$240 per night.
Resort Properties
Sunriver Resort (17600 Center Dr, Sunriver; 15 miles south of Bend via US-97) is a purpose-built resort community on 3,300 acres: four golf courses, 35 miles of paved bike paths through the community, multiple pools, the SHARC aquatic center, and the Sunriver Nature Center. The Lodge Village accommodations range from hotel rooms to vacation homes. This is the primary full-resort option near Bend and the best choice for families with children. From approximately $250-$500 per night for Lodge Village rooms as of 2026.
Tetherow Golf Club and Resort (61240 Skyline Ranch Rd, west of Bend) — a Bandon Dunes sister property with golf-focused accommodations. From approximately $200-$350 per night.
Chain Hotels
Hampton Inn & Suites Bend (15 NE Butler Market Rd) — a reliable 130-room chain hotel on the east side of Bend with a pool; one of the better value options for visitors not seeking boutique atmosphere. From approximately $130-$190 per night.
Hilton Garden Inn Bend (425 NE Windy Knolls Dr) — another solid mid-range option; east side location requires a car. From approximately $120-$180 per night.
TownePlace Suites Bend (755 SW 13th St) — extended-stay suites with kitchenettes; good for longer visits. From approximately $110-$170 per night.
Budget Options
Campfire Hotel (4765 SW McAlister Ave) is a converted 1960s motel operating as a design-forward budget property with a pool and communal campfire area. From approximately $90-$140 per night as of 2026.
The Bunk + Brew (1035 NE Third St) — a hostel-adjacent property with dormitory bunks and private rooms in a brewery context; from approximately $35-$55 per dorm bed.
Choosing Where to Stay
Stay downtown (Oxford Hotel, Lara House) for walkable access to Bend’s restaurant and brewery scene. The best base for non-car visitors or those prioritizing evening dining.
Stay at Sunriver for families with children wanting a resort experience; the bike path network and aquatic center are the main family draws.
Stay at Pine Ridge for proximity to Mount Bachelor during ski season; the Century Drive route runs directly from the inn to the mountain.
Booking Notes
Mount Bachelor ski weekends (December-March) book quickly — 3-4 weeks ahead minimum for the downtown boutique options. July-September summer recreation season is the second busy period. Bend’s total hotel inventory is limited; late bookings for peak weekends often result in significant compromises in quality and location. Weekdays throughout the year are generally available with less lead time.
