Modern hotel room with Atlanta skyline views through floor-to-ceiling windows

Atlanta hotel pricing reflects convention activity at the Georgia World Congress Center, major sports events (Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta United), and the city’s role as the primary air hub for the Southeast. Peak periods include Dragon Con (Labor Day weekend), SEC Championship Game (December), and various large healthcare and technology conferences that fill the downtown convention complex. All prices below are approximate as of 2026; rates vary significantly by date and demand.

Downtown and Centennial Park Area

Glenn Hotel (110 Marietta St NW) — a 110-room boutique hotel in a 1923 office building, well-positioned for the aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, and Centennial Olympic Park. The Rooftop at Glenn has one of the better skyline views in the downtown core. Rooms from approximately $140 per night; street-level restaurant and bar. MARTA’s CNN Center station is steps away.

W Atlanta Downtown (45 Ivan Allen Jr Blvd) — a large lifestyle hotel adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park. Rooms from approximately $190 per night; the WET deck rooftop pool is open in summer. Good positioning for the downtown attractions cluster but the neighbourhood gets quiet after 6pm on weekdays.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta (75 14th St NE, Midtown) — the city’s most polished luxury option, located on 14th Street in Midtown adjacent to the High Museum. Rooms from approximately $420 per night; suites from approximately $700. The Pool Bar on the fifth floor is one of the best hotel pool settings in the city. Business travellers and large-celebration stays; the restaurant (Park 75) is among the better hotel dining rooms in Atlanta.

Hyatt Regency Atlanta (265 Peachtree St NE) — a 1967 John Portman-designed atrium hotel that set the template for the contemporary hotel lobby; the 22-story rotating Polaris restaurant on the roof remains one of Atlanta’s architectural curiosities. 1,260 rooms; well-suited to convention attendees given its size and downtown proximity. Rooms from approximately $150 per night; rises sharply during large conventions.

Midtown

The Georgian Terrace Hotel (659 Peachtree St NE) — the most historically significant hotel in Midtown, open since 1911 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Gone With the Wind premiere cast party was held here in 1939; Enrico Caruso and William Howard Taft both stayed. The beaux-arts exterior and period public spaces are well-preserved. Rooms from approximately $180 per night; suites from approximately $280. Walking distance to the Fox Theatre, MARTA North Avenue station, and Ponce City Market.

Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown (683 Peachtree St NE) — a mid-sized boutique hotel in a 1920s building on the Peachtree Street corridor. Rooms are compact but well-designed; the neighbourhood location (between Downtown and Ponce City Market) is good for independent exploration. From approximately $150 per night.

Stonehurst Place (923 Piedmont Ave NE) — a 6-room B&B in an 1896 Craftsman house on Piedmont Avenue, a 10-minute walk from MARTA Midtown station and 5 minutes from the Whole Foods and restaurant cluster on 10th Street. Rooms from approximately $190 per night including breakfast. The most intimate accommodation option in Midtown; book well in advance as availability is limited.

Loews Atlanta Hotel (1065 Peachtree St NE) — a large contemporary hotel in the Midtown Arts District, adjacent to the MARTA Arts Center station. 414 rooms from approximately $200 per night. The location is good for the High Museum, the Fox Theatre, and the BeltLine’s Westside Trail.

Buckhead

The St. Regis Atlanta (88 W Paces Ferry Rd) — Atlanta’s most formal luxury hotel, set in the Buckhead commercial district. The butler service is genuine (every room has a dedicated butler on call); rooms from approximately $450 per night. The ABAC restaurant led by chef Jose Enrique produces some of the most technically accomplished cooking in the city. Suitable for high-end business travel and celebratory stays; Buckhead is 7 miles from downtown and best accessed by car or rideshare.

Hotel Colee (3377 Peachtree Rd NE) — a more accessible Buckhead boutique property with a rooftop pool and direct access to Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza shopping. Rooms from approximately $200 per night. Buckhead MARTA station is a short walk.

Ponce City Market and Old Fourth Ward Area

The Clermont Hotel (789 Ponce de Leon Ave NE) — a 94-room boutique hotel in a 1924 building, converted in 2018. Best known for two features: the rooftop bar with BeltLine Eastside Trail views, and the Clermont Lounge in the basement — one of Atlanta’s most storied dive bars, operating since 1965 and known for its burlesque performances and local dive culture. Rooms from approximately $160 per night. Well-positioned for the BeltLine, Ponce City Market (10-minute walk), and the restaurant strip on North Highland Avenue.

Hotel Bellyard (1310 West Marietta St NW, West Midtown) — a new-build boutique hotel in the Westside Provisions District, an area with strong independent restaurants (Bacchanalia, Star Provisions) and design stores. Rooms from approximately $180 per night. The Westside is approximately 2 miles northwest of Midtown; best navigated by rideshare.

Airport and South Atlanta

Marriott Atlanta Airport (4711 Best Rd) — directly connected to the domestic terminal via the airport transit rail. Rooms from approximately $130 per night. Useful for early departures or late arrivals; no reason to stay here otherwise.

The Porsche Experience Center Atlanta Hotel (1 Porsche Dr, College Park) — adjacent to the Porsche Experience Center and Atlanta Motor Speedway. Unusual and automotive-focused; rooms from approximately $170 per night. The driving experience packages at the adjacent Porsche track start from approximately $175 for a 60-minute session.

Booking Tips

  • MARTA access is the key variable: For visitors without a car, staying within walking distance of a MARTA station simplifies the trip substantially. The Red/Gold line covers the airport, downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead; the Blue/Green line connects downtown to Decatur.
  • Avoid downtown during Dragon Con (Labor Day weekend): The convention fills approximately 40,000 hotel rooms across downtown and Midtown; prices triple or quadruple and lobby traffic is intense. If your visit overlaps, book far in advance or stay outside the convention hotel radius.
  • BeltLine proximity adds value: The Clermont, the properties near Ponce City Market, and hotels along 10th Street in Midtown are all within walking distance of the BeltLine Eastside Trail. This simplifies evening dining and bar access without rideshare.
  • Parking: Downtown Atlanta parking garages charge approximately $20–$35 per day. Most Midtown hotels have self-park garages for approximately $20–$30 per day; Buckhead is similar. Factor this into accommodation costs if driving.
